About a month ago I was let down terribly. Relationship issues. Trouble in what became my own little personal paradise 🏝️. 

I couldn’t imagine moving on from such a sad situation. I was let down and disappointed. Distraught. 

I mean I tried my darndest, but in the end, it didn’t work👷‍♀️. 

I hate when life goes like that. Whether it’s a romantic relationship, a job, a friendship, a project — when you try your best and it doesn’t work, it sucks. 

Still if in the end, you know you did your best there is satisfaction to be found. How? Well, as long as you’re breathing you can try again 🌬️. The following affirmations were birthed out of a relationship that I wanted to work so bad but didn’t.

It didn’t work, but I tried 🌞🤷🏽‍♀️🤞🏼👸🏽


I am a queen 👸🏽.


God enlarges my territory.


He gives me space.


My faith has large magnitudes.


My faith cancels out fear.


I am dedicated to trying and failing and trying again.


I am not afraid of falling or failing.


Because I have faith that I will win. 🥇


I design my fate.


I will be number one and try my best at all things.


I will not fail.


And when it doesn't work I’ll at least know that I tried 💯.

I feel like everyone I love deserves everything they want. But I also know that Gods redirection is always a blessing. I pray you never allow yourself to be upset for longer than you need to be. You deserve your hearts desires. You are allowed to feel the feels. You are amazing. Know Dat!

I have learned that when something doesn’t go the way I want it to go, and have realized that I’m not in control of a situation, I take it as a sign that God is in control! He wants something better for that person.

Below is a story, a collection of thoughts that formed as I sat in rush-hour traffic for what seemed like forever. An elderly woman taking her time in the midst of our "rush-hour" inspired me. Late August Mind Dump

What a great day to be alive:  Sun shining.  Weather sweet.  Birds chirping.  Grass fresh.  Ants building.  Leaves blowing.  It's a late August morning and there are so many uncertainties . And even more  unknowns with pain and vulnerability so closely attached.  I feel open. Susceptible to the elements of earth and life. Unguarded . Terribly fragile. Scared. End of the Year: General Reflections

Hey, ya'll!   It’s the end of another year: a time to evaluate, a time to recuperate, a time to reflect.  I find that I am still working through  1) forgiveness,  2) making mistakes,  3) being bold while maintaining respect for myself and others,   4 ) accepting where I am in life 💪, and 5 ) breaking bad routines that can be comfort zones in times of frustration ...  You know, the usual stuff .
