You So Darn Vibey 💛

The stage you're in NOW is optimal for your season. YES. This stage. The NOW with all the mess, all the mishaps, all the shouldas, and all the shouldn'tas. What if it will all make sense with a retrospective view? Fly butterfly 🍃. Don't be SO caught up in the DETAIL details because the  vibey-est you-moments are carefree 💛. The vibey-est you-moments are free from perfection 💛. The vibey-est you-moments smell of fresh dirt and sunsets 💛.  It may be tempting to romanticize about the NOW when time ushers you into the THEN. Because in the THEN you'll have your own set of obstacles for THAT part of life. BY GOLLY HOPEFULLY though, in that moment, you can focus on THE ACTUAL MOMENT.  Smell it. Taste it. Revel in it. Thank God for it. We are constantly changing and we should be constantly challenging ourselves to become better versions of ourselves.  But darnet step light. Some seasons REQUIRE THAT ONLY.  No need to stomp for fear that folks won't know you're...

Maintenance...

The more we have the more we have to maintain . Things seem so alluring, but once you have it, it won't maintain itself. In this day and age when products are produced cheaper and faster it can seem easier to replace something than to maintain it. It's easier to start a new relationship when the one you're in seems to be dishing out more pain than pleasure. New things at first glance and thought may seem more attractive than what needs to be fixed, repaired, and maintained. A new car for instance is lovely: paint gleaming, engine smooth, and fluids are on full. Yet that charm won't last unless you take it to get detailed in and out regul...

Thankfulness...

A few months back I was at an event. It was lovely. The dopest aspects of the evening were the activities woven throughout the night. One activity concentrated on "thankfulness" . The coordinator had us to write out what we were thankful for AND in turn, what "thankfulness" meant to us . It got me to thinking about my style of living, the folks in my life, and the way I'm able to navigate through it. I was able to narrow down three pieces of my life that have been instrumental in my growth as a woman. Here are my three thankfuls : I AM THANKFUL FOR... 1) My daughter. My daughter comes with a responsibility to check and change myself for the sake of making her a wonderful human; and for the sake of a having healthy relationship with her. 2) Mothers. These are all of the seasoned women who allow me to glean from their plenty. They are not all blood-related, but they've allowed me to sit at their feet and soak up the wisdom that comes with the ...
